Halloween Safety

The Herndon Police Department would like to remind everyone to be safe this Halloween!  Parents please talk to your children about how important it is to practice safety on Halloween night.

Safety tips

• Look both ways before crossing the street
• Carry a flash light
• Look at all the candy and make sure it’s safe to eat
• Never eat opened candy
• Parents - Plan trick or treat route for your children
• Trick or treat at houses with the front light on
• Wear reflective material
• Never go anywhere with a stranger
