The deadline to purchase your 2016 town vehicle decal is November 15th, 2015. Due to the deadline being a Sunday, payments may be received on Monday, November 16th. In addition, the Revenue office will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14th.

Vehicle Decals for the Town of Herndon
All vehicles, trailers, motorcycles and semi-trailers normally garaged, stored or parked within the Town of Herndon limits for more than 30 days are require to display a decal.
 
Decals must be displayed within 30 days of purchasing or moving a vehicle to the Town of Herndon. Failure to display a decal may result in ticketing.

The decals must be renewed annually on or before November 15. Decals purchased between April 15 and July 15 are one half of the purchase price.

To obtain a decal (forms are available on the town's website):

If during the current tax year you paid a motor vehicle fee to another Virginia locality, and later became resident of the Town of Herndon or your entity became located within the Town limits, the decal fee will be $0.00 for the one license year, upon submitting proof of payment to the other locality.
