UPDATE: Snow Operations, Town of Herndon

  

The Blizzard of 2016 resulted in an unprecedented amount of snow on town roadways. DPW crews are working around the clock to clear roads. Please note the following:

1) Plows are clearing through roads (only) in zones 1,2,3,6,7,8 & 10. They will move to all other zones when complete, by late afternoon. Wondering which zone is yours? Click here to view the snow removal map. Go to Town's website to view map. Worchester side is Zone 2 and Queens Row is Zone 14.

2) Due to the heavy volume of snow, plows will not be entering cul-de-sacs until Monday. Please plan accordingly.

3) DPW is also repairing water main breaks in the areas of Ferndale/Elden and Missouri/Mississippi. Water service has not been disrupted in those areas.

4) Trash will not be collected on Monday. Decisions about trash collection for the rest of the week will be made dependent on available resources and will be announced.

5) The Herndon Community Center will remain closed on Monday, January 25.

6) DPW estimates snow removal from roadways will take most of the week. Residents are asked to remain off of roadways as much as possible, so plows can get through.
